The serk, Old Norse word for under dress, was a staple garment used to protect the skin from the hardier outer layers and vice versa. Great as is, in the heat of summer or layering under wool layers for winter. Can be used for 8th-11th century reenactment, Viking Age-Early Medieval. This product is entirely machine sewn but feel free to send an email if you would like fully hand sewn.
Made of 100% natural medium weight linen
Features
Keyhole or Round neckline - your choice!
Tapered sleeves, gussets in armpits for mobility
Note: for longer dress length, I opt for 4 gores placed around the skirt for better mobility, comfort, and voluminous silhouette. For shorter tunic length, I opt for 2 gores but let me know if you'd like something different.
Hand stitched visible seams available! Just send an inquiry.
MEASUREMENTS:
Please check the measurements against your own. Returns are really hard on me as a one-person business and I only accept returns if the item is not as described. That means if it doesn't fit because you failed to measure yourself properly, I will not accept a return.
THE FIT:
I would recommend choosing a size that has leaves a couple inches of extra room compared to your own measurements, so that it is comfortable fitted without being too tight.
Please allow 2-4 weeks processing time, or more depending on how many orders I am handling and holidays. I will let you know if it will be more than 4 weeks. Thank you so much!
